    Done with a quick collection trip, on a partial rainy day, in search of these miniature loaches in their elements,

    The place of collection is quite within the boundaries of the pune city where one would even think of finding these jewels :)

     

    The stream that we collected in came through the mountains bordering the south east of pune city, called Bopdeo Ghat.

    This stream fed a large abandoned quarry where i suppose the loaches must be living in for the rest of the year.

    The stream was algae covered with fine sandy bottom having just above mild flow, the loaches were seen with some juveniles of possibly parapsilorhynchus having black borders on their dorsals, 

    pics to follow as they settle well in the tank.
