    Very nice Pictures … A real underrated little fish.
    It is harder to source these days .

    Lovely fish and pictures, i recently bought some of these at auction as Chela dadiburjori, Is this a incorrect name?

    As far as I can tell just the one that size. The eggs in the picture have now hatched though (I took them out of the tank) but the fry are really small.

    If I may ask: what does “really small” mean here?

    (I’m toying with the idea of trying this species… the question if I can manage breeding them…it seems that in good conditions they will spawn? but for raising, is paramecium good enough?)

    BTW, meant to ask you: I saw you article on c.arcuatus on Scotcats…again, really nice… was there a followup (specifically, did you manage to have them breeding consistently)?

    They bred again the next year after I moved all my fish into a shed. Again there were several spawnings about a month apart. I got a fair amount of fry (30 odd) before I sold them as a breeding group.

    Thanks!
    I always wanted to try them but assumed breeding is impossible before seeing your writeup…I’ll try one day.
