    These guys were going at it and the s. balteata were looking so nice I grabbed the camera. Of course as soon as I did they fled for cover. They really don’t like their picture taken. A shame as they are beautiful!

    Not a common fish. Labiobarbus lineatus. They’re not a flashy fish but beautiful in their own way. I really like them.

    Thanks Tom. There are 2 (wish their were more) and they were the target of the vid. Very difficult to get more than a glimpse of them. The red really comes out when they get excited. Nonn looked at a picture of them last time I was in Thailand and said that they looked like the Burmese sp.

    Thanks Henri! I think these are full grown. I’ve had them for a few years and not much change. Largest are probably just under 4″.
