This just published by Rainboth et al.

“Fishes of the Greater Mekong Ecosystem with Species List and Photographic Atlas”

Miscellaneous Publications of the University of Michigan Museum of Zoology.

A copy is being sent to me.

    Reviewing it for?

I can find out how one can purchase a copy if there is enough interest.

Was going to be cheeky and ask if you could maybe do a short one for us if you’re not elsewhere?

I’d certainly be interested in a copy if available.

My copy arrived a couple of days ago.  Initial impressions are that:

    (1) There is very little information available (it is largely a photo atlas, as the title states).

    (2) It covers a far larger area than one would associate with the Mekong.  Because the definition includes areas influenced by the discharge at its mouth, a considerable portion of the Gulf of Thailand is included.  This leads to the (strange) inclusion of coral reef species (and hence a total count of 2500 species).

That’s all the “review” I can write for the site.  I have promised reviews elsewhere (one for Planet Catfish and another for the Raffles Bulletin of Zoology) and you can only take the review of the same book so far.

I am still working on getting information on purchasing the book.  The people in charge are apparently out of their office.

I’d love to have a copy if I can afford it.

Understood HH, and thanks for the info. Still interested to know if possible to buy a copy as well.
