Okey-dokey first few of Mick´s lovely pics up for identification before being added to the site. Can anyone identify the following purleese:

    #1 This (or these) Syncrossus:

    #2 Botia dario?

    #3 Botia almorhae?

    #4 No idea:

    #5 Botia kubotai?

    #6 Botia udomritthiruji?

Cheers folks! Plenty more to come believe me!

3rd pic looks like Botia Dario to me (Bengal loaches). Looked everywhere for those when I wanted a loach, but settled for a B. striata instead.

    1. syncrossus berdmori
    2. Botia Dario
    3. Looks like a extensively patterned almorhae? Mick? The one on the right in the first pic looks like kub maybe?
    4. Hmm, histroinica? Dario? Would be my guesses, though i’ve never seen anything like it. Dare i mention hybrids? Only joking Mick; i know you hate hybrids; i do too!
    5. Botia kubotai
    6. emporer loach

    Nice loaches Mick!!!!!!!!!

the fish in pic 4 is B. rostrata and it’s a little gem, the pic does’nt do it justice the light coloured bars are a honey-gold colour.

That’s a stunner Mick! I actually first though rostrata but the more i looked at the more it looked like something else! /laugh.gif” style=”vertical-align:middle” emoid=”” border=”0″ alt=”laugh.gif” />

Hmm, a little more tricky! lol

    1. Garra salweenica
    2. Pseudogastromyzon myersi
    3. Dunno looks like a lizard loach? or something else, i think i remember seeing that pic on loaches online, i’ll just have a quick look.
    4. Same species as 3
    5. Glaniopsis multiradiata or Liniparhomaloptera disparis disparis (Probably the first i think)

Thank goodness loaches online exist, had to have a good look at a couple of the loaches. I just hope Mick doesn’t prove me wrong!!!! lol

    EDIT:
    Number 3 & 4 are possibly a Formosania,

very close David, your right on the Formosania but it’s a toss up between 2 sp as to which it is, the 5th pic is a baby L dispar i found in the tank.
on the pseudo try the other one, it’s a cheni bud.
and the Garra even i don’t know what sp they are the pic was taken at pier aquatics, home of quality fish and owned by my good mate Neil and Adele.
maybe sojapat has the sp name?, personally i like his made up name for them but i’ll let him tell you that.

The garra look identical from some photos of garra salweenica i saw ages ago, i think it was on wildwoods or petfrd?
