Per chance, does anyone here have an idea about them?
    (I’m looking for something new 😳 )
Specific question: what is this: http://www.aquabid.com/uploads/fwcatfish1360365057.jpg ?
Listed as Microglanus poecilus (sic) … looks more like M.iheringi to me .. the reason this matters is that based on some googling+asking M.iheringi should be more or less breedable, but the other species is way more difficult.

    TIA!

Any idea why this should be so?

No idea regarding the id but there’s a key to the Amazonian members of the genus here.

No idea, only an impression after reading a bunch of profiles. New ground for me, I was hoping someone played with them already 😳
