I visited a jungle lagoon this morning. It is near a hamlet called Ixuacut and about 150 yards in diameter. In the center is a dense reed bed. I am assured that the crocodiles which are protected by the villagers hide in the large reed bed and baby crocs have been seen. Younger village children are encouraged to play here so that if the crocs feel hungry a snack is available. /rolleyes.gif” style=”vertical-align:middle” emoid=”” border=”0″ alt=”rolleyes.gif” />

Looks great John. Which croc species lives there and why are the people protecting them/offering sacrifices?

Another rare species and really great story. Can’t wait to see which fishes you find.
