    Hey all,
    I am Brian Perkins, owner of Wild Peru out of Puerto Maldonado. I just wanted to share some pics of the Shrimp we are catching in Southern Peru. I particularly like the one witht he cream stripe down it’s back. ANd yes that last one is blue!! http://www.wildperu.net

    Brian, strong resemblance to some of the Macrobrachium from the Malay peninsular. I assume your collecting location is undisturbed, i.e. no chance of human introduced fauna?

    Yep they look like Macrobrachium spp. There are some species native to Peru I think?

    Yes, these are from very remote areas. The chance of them being introduced is very remote.
