Just updating a few of the older tetra profiles, and was interested to discover that there is an orange form of the lemon tetra H. pulchripinnis, or something very close to that species, doing the rounds. It has been traded as H. pulchripinnis ‘orange/red’ and H. sp. ‘orange Bolivia’, although it actually seems to originate from the rio Tapajós. Has anyone here seen or kept it?

Frank of Aquarium Glaser has kindly allowed us to use a couple of his pics of the ‘orange-red’ form. Also noticed something odd in one of our other contributor’s pics.

    So, ‘normal’ lemon tetra:

     ‘Orange-red’ form:

…and this one, which displays elements of both colour patterns(?).
