Good reference list of fish but couldn’t help noticing they have *all* the Otocinclus named wrong…

    Otocinclus macrospilus = ???
    Otocinclus sp = Otocinclus cocama
    Otocinclus vestitus = Otocinclus macrospilus
    Hypoptopoma sp = Nannoptopoma sternoptychum

The Arapaima one is interesting – even if you just look at the photographs! Amazing size and amazing they are on trade lists!

Yeah that Arapaima paper was pretty cool. The checklist was OK as well.

Thanks for sharing Matt, great read.

Im with Colin in his amazement that the Arapaima is on trade lists.. In the pens these fish are reaching a length of 1meter and a weight of 26lb in the first year!!! how the hell can any private aquarist(except a small handful worldwide) possibly house these fish?

Great to see them working to preserve them though.
