    picked up half a dozen of these at the weekend (thanks richy). a small unassuming licorice gourami, not much on the net but i gather they will do well in a tank some 18×12 with soft water, ph around 6 for normal keeping and down to 4.5 or so for breeding, males slightly more colourfull.
    they are a cave spawner, males building a nest in a plant pot or similar.
    he tends to the eggs and fry until free swimming and then they are on their own.
    a few reports of successful breeding have been reported across the globe, so fingers crossed i can do the same.
    they are taking white worm and grindle worm at the mo and are fattening up well.

    Ooh great pick-up mate. Always fancied trying one of the Paros. I think Mick has bred at least one of them? Best of luck and hope to see some pics.
