Shoot.  This somehow ate all of my text.

    Gah.

It was a nice eloquent post.

    Here is the short form:

I was talked into purple passion danios while leaving my lfs (daughter begged once worked mentioned them).

I had pygmy cories, scarlet badis badis, bumblebee goby and pygmy moth cat in my bag.

Got home and the danios are insane (never owned them).  racing everywhere and chomping at anything resembling food at the top of the tank.

Will they eat/attack my new nano friends?  LFS said nothing but my gut tells me my new fish might be at risk and I don’t want that.  I’d rather return the danios.

That is my 55 gal tank pictured above.  Whisper filter and medium sponge.

I got the nanos after we traded in arowana and ghost knife (both were around 7″).  one of them ate a stiphodon so that was the sign to remove the predators.

Tankmates: royal pleco, small blue phantom pleco, small leopard frog pleco, smaller farowella cat, 3 reticulated hillstream loaches, 2 small shunk cories, 1 small panda cory

They all play nice and our water levels are perfect (we do regular cleanings).

Driftwood, plants and Idian almond leaves.

Had to google purple passion danios. They are rosy danios (Danio roseus).

I’m a little confused by your post, are all the fish you listed in the same tank? Some of those should really be in a tank of their own as they have rather specific requirements. The bumblebee gobies, moth cats and badis are not really general community fish for various reasons. The danios on the other hand are fine.
