    Hi.

I have a tank that i first built as a SW. But as those plans diden’t work out i am now back to my first plans which is a FW goby tank. This is btw an All in one with integraded sump. So what i did was to rebuild the sump compartment to a dry wet trickle filter, and i am now thinking about building a river manifold systeme to make it more sutiable. The way i have it setup now is the return from the sump and a tunze streamer, which after some new research i understand would not be the best setup solution for river fish( like some gobies or hillstream loach for example)

So my question is. Will it work with a manifold in my setup? And if so how would i best direkt the flow?

Tank dimensions without sump compartment. 34x26x13″ (water depth is only 12″)

    Best regards.

Looks fine to me. It’s hard to tell how much current there is from the vid. I’m not a fan of the river tank manifold. I built one years ago and eventually tore it down. I’d just add another powerhead if you want more movement.

    Hi.

Ok. Yeah that would be so much easier and a cheaper choice. So if that works good enought i see no need to build a manifold.

I keep the return pump on 100% power in the vid, around 317 gph. And the tunze is 1175 gph. So lets say i go with one more streamer, should i place both on the return side or where i have the streamer placed in the vid?

    Thanks for the help.

It sounds to me like you have enough movement/turnover as it is. Add substrate, rocks etc. and see how it feels. You don’t need a torrent.

I think so yes, i’m going for 6-7 turnover. And sorry for repeating this , but where should i place the streamer? As a manifold only use one direction flow it makes most sense to place it on the return side? Or should i just keep it as it is?

I will try some sand today.

You’re not going to get one directional flow in that tank. The way you have it in the vid looks fine to me. Move it around and see what works for you.
