is there any more info on this species, perhaps someone actually tried keeping them?

Specific concern is how essential is the low temperature cited in the profile, 59-72F, anyone is willing to opine perhaps?

btw, the current trade name seems to be ” Firefly Loach “

    TIA!

Well, that info is derived from average air temperatures across its known range but as always the water conditions in the profile should be taken as a guideline rather than hard fact. Will add in the new trade name, thanks for mentioning it.

So how many are you getting? Laugh

None (despite the fish being available at a very low price)

I don’t feel safe about temperature requirements in this case …. mountain fish may be more intolerant than usual… this is why I asked.

    Revised answer: 12.

Not sure that the id correct, the marking seem similar (which means nothing), the collection locale seems right (which means little), but some look 4.5-5cm (and I guess no deep meaning here too).
