This is a loach that I have wanted for a very long time now and at last I got the chance to get myself a group of 10 Serpenticobitis octozona last week, I have to admit the photos dont do them justice, they are a stunning fish.

They are possibly the most beautiful loach i’ve seen! I still only have the one, hoping to add several more soon. Thanks for the pics, I’ve been waiting!

Stunning looking fish – if the photos don’t do them justice, i’d love to see them in the flesh!

Cool Mark! In germany is currently S. zonata available. But I’ve no space for them. Is their behaviour/activity similar to schistura?

They are similar to schistura but without any aggresion or chasing, they will happily spend time upside down under the duckweed picking around on the duckween and looking for food which is when you can see the dark spots that they have on their underside.
