    do split fins grow back together
    got a ancistrus with a split dorsal and tail has 2 splits in it

    is there a dreaded chemical i can add to aid both recovery and reduce the risk of infection
    ive got melafix and ive also read that stress coat can help

    Melafix is fine but if you don’t see signs of fungus or other infection I wouldn’t bother.

    and as matt said…don’t bother unless fungus/infection shows

    Avoid using Meth Blue in an mature tank BTW, it totally screws with biological filtration.

    Just stay on top of the water quality to minimise the risk of infection. So more frequent changes will help.
