Yes the other tanichthys do this as do many other small fishes like barbs and danios.

    TY!

BTW, Wetspot listing now has “Yellow Neon White Cloud NEW Tanichthys sp. WILD” — I wonder if this is the same species we have… no photos yet.

Frank’s Aquarium seems to also have these (http://www.franksaquarium.com/nanofish.htm).

I think he’s in NYC too.

It may not be the same fish, Frank’s are from 2011 import that was bred by a customer, Wetspot’s are likely new w/c import.

The fish I picked up from Frank’s back in July 2012 have grown to be beautiful adults.  I’m still hoping for that ‘perfect’ photo  LOL.

    A fantastic fish, Dennis.

I still hope to find it on a list again one day.

I use a good shot as screensaver. But a soon you are lucky to get a perfect pic …

    Cheers Charles

Unfortunately, this is about as good as they get…. we should still find the yellow ones :(

They were on the import lists 2 months ago, Wetspot got them.

Wow, do they always show this reddish colour when sparring?
