    Hi.

Is there anyone here who keep these mudskippers?

I wonder if a bottom area at 100x60cm would be enought for 1 barbarus? Water depth at 8cm at the deepest part, and most of the area very shallow so it can get the most out of the tank so to speak. Or is a little more depth better perhaps?

I wonder this because all tank info i’ve found is for 2 or more, and even 2 in a bigger tank seems very risky with their agressive/ territorial behaviour.

    Regards.

Periophthalmus are territorial, but also gregarious so it’s tricky to say whether a single specimen would do well. Personally I’d recommend a minimum of 4 specimens to disperse aggression, but this would require a massive tank. Have you looked at the smaller P. novemradiatus? You could easily keep a colony of 6 or more in your tank.
