So the other day me and my little brother noticed some fry and didn’t think they were from my Endler’s livebearer (poecilia wingei) because they (the 5 fry) all had a red spot by their pectoral fins and was wondering if that is typical of Puntius titteya fry as I know they are known to breed frequently and fry be found sometimes but the red spots disappeared so that made me think it was part of the egg they were encased in before discovery. They have been moved to a very small tank less than a gallon but will be moving to a 5.5 gallon soon. If they are Puntius titteya how long do you think it will take to identify them.

These are cherry barb fry although when they first hatch they are just little black slivers.

I suspect your fry are guppies.
