    Hi guys

In future, I would be keen to set up a biotype for fish that would naturally live in water like the stuff we get here. My parameters are:
    – pH = 6.8
    – GH = 17.9 ppm (very soft)
    – KH = 53.7 ppm (also pretty soft)

    Thanks

As a general guide the obvious choices and easiest to find would be South American fish (tetras, corydoras etc) or South East Asian (rasboras, loaches etc), although there are other options.

It’s then best to check the Knowledge Base for the requirements of specific species which interest you.

Thanks Eyrie. I just wanted a general idea of what sort of fish I should be looking at before I get massively attached to something totally unsuitable, like cichlids.

I know the feeling – my water would be totally unsuitable if I wanted Rift Valley cichlids. Which I don’t
