    The F system changes depending on its context, like you said.

    Wild fish are fish that have physically came from the wild with no human interference. F0 is sometimes used but not really accepted…

    F1 with regards to fry from wild caught parents are the first generation in captivity

    But F1 could also be anything that I have spawned for one generation, even if they are 100 generations removed from the wild.

    It’s all a bit subjective and needs extra info provided at the time.
