Got the booklet with the magazine in today’s post. Can’t say I’m that impressed with the winner – the snow leopard looks like it been stuffed and placed in a museum to me!

Personal favourites are “Clash of Eagles”, “Swallowtail Salt-sipping” and “Swamp Cypress”, The “Sacrifice” photo is pretty unpleasant, which fully justifies it winning its category.

Have to admit the one which made my draw drop was “First Encounter” with the whale. The “Sacrifice” one made me wince a bit mate.

I think they’re all wonderful, in their own way. My favorite was “Sea of Life” by Brian Skemmer (or was it Skimmer?) Anyway, I liked it that much that I am goint to make an attempt to draw and paint the picture….one of these days (or nights).
