I think I will look further into AB to see if I think it is viable

    cheers

I’m going to set up a few more tanks in a few weeks. I’ll definately be in touch then. You have species I’m keen to try.

yes so far so good (other than a mis-ID lol)

I have never used it myself but might look into using it to sell???

    Cheers

Apologies to the OP for going off topic. I’ve considered using it for my aquatics hobby business ‘Biotope Aquatics’ as there are not that many UK people on there. It might be worth a punt.

Does your business have a website Colin?

Stefan looked and he said “smaragdina”

This is one fish that I have really kicked myself about because I had the chance of them in 2008 at the IGL in Zwolle and didn’t buy them when I had the chance.

Stefan and two friends in the AAGB all got them at the time!

    Sods law! I thought it was worth pointing to the link. /sad.gif” style=”vertical-align:middle” emoid=”:(” border=”0″ alt=”sad.gif” />

A very sad state of affairs really.

Still, I fancy something as ‘close to wild’ as I can rather than some of the domesticated strains you see. From an aesthetics point of view. There is a transhipper dealing in thai fish just a few miles from my office it appears. I’ll email her and see what she can come up with. /sad.gif” style=”vertical-align:middle” emoid=”:(” border=”0″ alt=”sad.gif” />

I have their album, The White Room. Bought when I was aged 16.

The most over produced track ever???

The father in law is a big Tammy Wynette / country fan. He never did like this though…

And for the stretch of the A82 when heading into Rannoch Moor, what could be more appropriate? <img src="style_emoticons//laugh.gif” style=”vertical-align:middle” emoid=”” border=”0″ alt=”laugh.gif” />

PH had been low for a couple of weeks, that was about a month or so ago. Was 6.5 at its lowest.

Haven’t contacted a vet as yet, sounds rather costly to get any tests done.

Don’t have another tank so can’t quarantine him.

    Thanks

Poshsouthernbird tells me that you can buy a special bracket for the biorb to clip a heater in place. Hope that helps.

Aare you wanting crysal red shrimp or would you consider another species?

All sounds good. The template is there to try and diagnose any obvious problems, but your water parameters all look fine. Have you taken the fish to a vet? And have you got it in quarantine?

The thing is it’s upto the fish if they deceide to breed and not us. In my experience A cacatuoides will breed quite readily in the aquarium. I’ve had one male with three females, one had to be removed as it was being bullied (Obviously the three foot tank wasn’t big enough for their territorial requirements). But he did breed with both females. Both were of very similar size.

Tetras will be more or less left alone, they’re often deliberately added as dither fish with shy dwarfs anyway. Obviously they’ll be chasde if they get close to eggs and fry but not seriously. At least in my experience.

I have no hands on experience with Nannacara anomala. But aquascaping the tank with lots of hiding places and plants will help I’m sure.
