    Or just females as you can’t see the white border on the tail like in these two species in males

    I’m keeping this fish for 2 years now with success and different people now have them in France and Germany ,a very nice fish very shy so difficult to take pics of the adults.The fry come in front of the tank begging for food.

    I keep them in a tank 90*35*35 for 7 fish .That’s enough,sure in bigger tank it would be better,but I have no room for more tank Cry

    No they are big one of 20 cm for the bigger one the other almost 18/19 cm and 15 cm for the females

    By the way I don’t remember the population of the B.pardalotos.They reproduce like rabbits.very nice fish

    I will go in Indonesia in May,I will try to go to S’pour to see with P.Yap what I can get in small Betta that I don’t have.As I’m going to Djakarta as well I will go to visit some wholeseller there to take some tiny species.I’m going in vacation with my family so no fishing trip or a very short one

    Looks like a nice trip and you were lucky enough to collect the B.miniopina.Did one manage to breed them,if yes put me on the list please.I have an old strain from around 2000/2001 still breeding correctly

    I had for a few years the green Rutilans and they were really much darker than the one on a pic.I gave them to a friend and will ask him to take pics.They were bubble nester at leasy every time I Checked the canister in their tanks as most of the time the water is so dark in my tanks that I can see nothing and put BBs only when I see fry swimming

    I’m working too many hours per day that I have no time to take care of my tanks .I will do it this weekend.The dominant male developped long filaments at the annal fin.Quite nice .

    They are prolific I collect more than 100 eggs per week.But after a while almost 50% of them diseapeared ,so I will keep a few bags and sell the other one or trade them.

    I collected the first eggs yesterday and the fish are 15 cm.I think they reach the adult size .

    Friend of mine back from Malaysia told me the biotope of Miniiopina almost diseapeared.He found also nice population of Paros and B.tussyae
