I would find it interesting to have a few brief paragraphs about the history and origins of the website.

Something like who made it, why, when. Where its based. How it is supported. Changes over time.

I have not been a close follower for long and am curious about these things and assume that others are also.

We did have one on the old website, but the usage statistics suggested it wasn’t particularly worthwhile.
