    Oh man didn’t put two and two together with the genus name – so these new names are still being used. Also, I wonder if this is the fish we have listed as Rasbora macrophthalma (which the paper says is a synonym of R. dorsiocellata)?

    Well in this case Brevibora which was erected in 2009 to include only the former Rasbora dorsiocellata. At least now there are two species.

    I think if you are going to use Trigonostigma and Boraras then you should adopt Brevibora.
