Hi all
In spring 2014 I got some species imported from Ohio, USA.
A first one – the southern redbelly dace – I would like to show you.
First pics were taken in autum 2014
They went into a split tank – 70x30x30 half a year
Remarkable is the rosy colour in subadult specimen.

Growing nicely, they changed into an old 240 lt tank together with two other species. About 19° in winter

Spawning must have taken place in spring and I could save four specimen, changing into the tank with Erromyzon “red spot”

Very fast swimmers and not easy to picture

Now they are back in the first mentioned tank with Sewellia sp 02. One specimen decided to jump aout of the tank during summer heat when a gap was kept open to chill a bit. A male and two females left

They didn’t like the foto-session and are hiding now when I sit down for a new try
Cheers Charles
