I seem to be always getting fish that are unknown. I recently acquired three Corydoras algodon wild caught in Peru and although I have found several miscellaneous online references to the name I cannot find a description or information on the species naming anywhere. It closely resembles C. fowleri, but it appears to be a distinct species. Anyone know who named it and if there is info on this anywhere?

Hey Byron I think this is currently viewed as a colour form of fowleri and ‘algodon’ is just a trade name. You certainly get hold of some nice fish!
