Neal-DAParticipantWith the england players watching from a beach far far away who are you going to be supporting in the european cup?

MaltiParticipantItaly supporter here
June 7, 2008 at 9:25 pm #306185
EyrieParticipantNo preference here, and the office sweepstake didn’t help when I pulled out Sweden and Turkey. Think I’ll just watch the games that appeal to me, or at least have them on in the background.
If pressed, I’d nominate Italy to win it (assuming they survive their group). That though is the kiss of death for their chances!

June 9, 2008 at 9:45 pm #306263
EyrieParticipantNot as badly as the linesman missed Van Nistelrooy at the opener
June 11, 2008 at 7:43 pm #306281
MattKeymasterApparently the defender off the pitch counted as being “active” as he collided with Buffon before sliding off the pitch or something so the ref was 100% correct according to that mental new offside rule.
June 11, 2008 at 9:13 pm #306285
EyrieParticipantYeah, I heard that but I don’t agree with it. The rule is there to stop a defender deliberately leaving the pitch to create an offside situation, not to further punish a team which is a man down due to injury.
I think Donadoni’s handled it very well though – none of the usual bleating that managers indulge in.

Neal-DAParticipantBig phil has taken the chelsea job!
Wow didnt see that coming!
Was expecting to see macini get the job myself!I thought roman wanted an attack minded manager!
Scolari makes mourinho look like kevin keegan!
Big personality but his teams are dull as dishwater!
June 13, 2008 at 11:41 pm #306297
