Wonderful, wonderful stuff Shankar! I have some questions:

    – what camera are you using?
    – how do you, personally, tell Barilius bakeri and B. canarensis apart?
    – what else is in that bag? Do I spy a Garra sp.?
    – has Channa orientalis ever been collected in Peninsular India to your knowledge?

Looking forward to the full species list and (hopefully) more pics of your booty. /tongue.gif” style=”vertical-align:middle” emoid=”:p” border=”0″ alt=”tongue.gif” />

Oops missed your post Matt! : (

    I use Olympus Tough 8010.

Regarding the Barils, IMO, bakeri has row of spots and canarensis have small bars. I’ll recheck that.

Yep, a Garra sp, the best looking one I’ve kept till date. Haven’t got a confirmed ID.

    C. orientalis has been reported in a paper as per Marc. Have asked him to look out for that paper.
