Badis ferrarisi: Earlier this week I’ve put 50-70 fry in a rearing tank and started feeding today. BBS first, to see if they’ll take it already (they should) and if not I’ve got microworms. I was a bit early this time ’round so when I’d put them in the tank they still had their egg sacs but that’s no problem. Now comes the checking up on whether or not they’re eating. Toughest is using an airstone hose to siphon the bottom with the fry being so small; takes forever

I’ve got new pyema eggs I noticed yesterday. I’ll set up a rearing tank today and since there’re not many (15-20?) I’ll try without a sponge filter in the beginning?

Well that was short-lived elation; somebody had a midnight badid-caviar snack – and it wasn’t me!
