PlaamooParticipantI’ve been following a new, similar, interest for several months now. It’s not something to jump into without research so I have been reading and asking questions on the appropriate forums for 3 or 4 months and now have my first specimens! Quarantine is also recommended and these have been q’d for a month and tested for the 2 most common ailments, chytrid fungus and ranavirus with negative results. I released them today into their new home. A 25 gallon tank that’s been up and running for 2 months now. They’re busy exploring it’s boundaries. These are Oophaga pumilio “Siquirres”, Siquirres is a location of origin in Costa Rica. They’re 6-7 month old juveniles. Any other froggers here?
The plants are growing slowly. Frog poop should help!

PlaamooParticipantThanks Matt. I purchased 3 unsexed juveniles. There’s an obvious pair already and not sure about the third.

PlaamooParticipantStaple is wingless melanogaster fruit flies that are dusted with calcium/vitamin supplements. The tank is seeded with various sp. of springtails & isopods that they also feed on. I think pinheads are too large for these.

Nicolai JonesParticipantThank you very much for such valuable information. I am currently writing a study that relates to frogs that live in fresh water. My research is at its final stage. I turned to https://edubirdie.com/edit-my-paper so that professionals in their field could edit my work and point out my mistakes.
