Are you in a residency program where you have to study by yourself?

Have you met other residents at conferences that you would like to study with, but you live in different time zones, so it is difficult to find time in your busy schedules to study together?

Consider using a digital/online Flash Card service. Once you put in the work of creating flashcards for yourself, you not only have a resource for quick study that you can access anywhere from your phone, but if you have a group of friends that you would like to study with, you can pool your flashcards together, and benefit each other’s studying, even from the other side of the world!

Usually, to access premium features and share cards between accounts requires a paid subscription, but a year’s subscription in the year leading up to boards may be well worth it! If you know any other resources like this (free or paid) that might be worth taking advantage of, please comment below.

That’s a great suggestion for residents who have busy schedules and are looking for ways to study with others who may be in different time zones. Digital flashcard services can definitely help with efficient studying and collaboration with others. Some popular flashcard services include Quizlet, Anki, and Cram. Additionally, some medical schools and residency programs may have their own digital flashcard systems that students can use for free. It’s always a good idea to check with your program or school to see if they offer any resources like this.

Thanks for sharing! It’s awesome that you can share flashcards with friends from different time zones to enhance each other’s learning. I haven’t heard of Brainscape or Chegg before, but I’ll check them out.
As for other resources, worksheetsgo has a lot of flashcard sets, and I used the community helpers set yesterday for teaching my class (I work at a preschool). They loved it, and I hope it was worthwhile.
Thanks again for sharing, and best of luck with your residency program!
