MattKeymasterOka-ay, here we have, starting at the bottom left:
Golden barb, Puntius semifasciolatus
Silver-tip tetra, Hasemania nana
Black Phantom Tetra, Hyphessobrycoon megalopterus
I think a cardinal tetra Paracheirodon axelrodi
Finally at the top, on the right is a zebra danio, Danio rerio.February 2, 2008 at 5:10 pm #304252
MattKeymasterI think you know the ids on all these mate yes?

MattKeymasterHere we have a young peppered cory, Corydoras paleatus, plus a male black phantom tetra, Hyphessobrycoon megalopterus .

MattKeymasterCorydoras paleatus again, and I think that tetra is actually a cardinal tetra, Paracheirodon axelrodi . How far along the body does the red stripe extend Ross?

MattKeymasterOk plant ids are Ambulia at the front left, I think some species of Bacopa behind and a small Anubias to the right.

MattKeymasterOk the shrimp is a cherry shrimp, Neocaridina denticulata sinensis. The “eels” are exactly what I imagined they’d be, Kuhli loaches! There are several species commonly sold with this name. The ones you have are (I think) the “true” species, Pangio kuhlii. You might not see these too often until they settle in properly. You should also see them more if you buy a group. Finally (phew!) the “sucker” is a baby Ancistrus, probably Ancistrus sp. (3). This is thought to be a hybrid of potentially several species. It’ll grow quite a bit bigger than it is now and will lose much of that spotted patterning as it matures.
Hope I’ve helped Ross, and thanks for sharing your pictures with us!

WarghMemberRoss, do you find that the Tiger Barbs and the Aneglfishes get on ok? Ive been told in the past not to keep them together cos the Tigers are really nippy?
February 17, 2008 at 7:15 pm #304394
RossParticipanti havent noticed anything with the tiger barbs. both the tigers and the angels both tend to chase thier own kind around the tank but rarely each other. Most of the time they actually aint doing much.
