    Spiraling up and down where? The water column? The glass?

    Check Google for Nematodes and Planaria, although with it spiraling I would expect Nematodes

    Up and down the tank (bottom to top).

    I’d guess they are Oligochaete worms, can’t remember the genus name for those usually found in aquaria.
