I guess individual temperament also comes into play on occasions. If the Oto’s were in first it may also of been a different situation, who knows?

I know this is a weird thing to say, but, did you add the oto’s at feeding time? Sometimes they are used to the small fish they live with, but if you dumped a bunch of new little guys in near feeding time, maybe your Jacks thought it was “feeder fish time”??

Heh they always think everything is feeding time. Go anywhere near the tank and they’re instantly at the surface of the water, 10 to 20 times a day…
