Lol haha! thanks. i doubt i will be building it anytime soon, infact i think the next chance i will have to build it will be in a years time, theres just no point beforehand if im leaving the country. ive come to a few flaws in my plan which im sure can be overcome with a lil ingenuity. il have a diagram up once i manage to get thru all these exams! apologies for not replying sooner, recovery from hangovers and such like has taken its toll.

minor details Dunc. theres a slight problem with that plan, although i would be tempted to do it myself, its actually illegal to take stuff from the sea unless its ‘for scientific research’. pretty convenient loophole in my eyes.

Pretty suave mr. Dunc! have you evicted your parents to fit in all these tanks? is that the army of S. daemoni you have been building up since we wroked together?

Might help a bit, i find the easiest way to get rid of rotten stuff on the bottom is a turkey baster, especially when its all faling apart.

Wow! that would definitely be interesting to read about. shame i have no hints or tips to help. not even my 2 years of marine biology can help, if it was a temperate rockpool setup on the other hand, then i could help!

I’ve seen that before but obviously i must be off the mark for the reason as yours is in what i would assume optimal conditions except for the pH according to tropica (eventhough its within safe limits). It may be a adaptive period, like when lillies shed leaves when they move? I think the only thing you can do is leave it to sort itself out or let it die and just replace the poor little thing.

does it look like its just turning to mush? if so, ive found that to be due to a lack of light and usually begins at the stem of the leaf then while still attached the rest of the leaf rots. a pic would obviously confirm this though.

Tropica claim that it can survive down to 5.5pH but be aware this is the lower boundary so it may not do aswell as it would in slightly less acidic conditions.
