oakenParticipantVery nice setup! It looks great and I don’t think you overstocked it at all.
oakenParticipantAwesome!
oakenParticipantGreat!
oakenParticipantThat is really depressing!
oakenParticipantThat would probably be quite expensive since they go for about 30 euro a piece :). I did keep a pair about a year ago but I had to get rid of them when I moved. But yeah, I get what you’re saying!
I wish more people would be interested in these fish.
oakenParticipantBut there are a couple of people keeping this species in Sweden. And probably more people in other parts of Scandinavia.
oakenParticipantWild fish have been offered in Sweden for about a year now. But not many people are interested in buying them, obviously. Betta persephone are usually available too.
oakenParticipantI sent you a PM, Matt.

oakenParticipantWould like this one if anyone has it.
oakenParticipantLooking great! The Pistia is a nice touch too.
oakenParticipantVery cool indeed.
oakenParticipantI see Pseudomystus siamensis is on Glaser’s list.
oakenParticipantWell, then I’d say Hara. But I guess they might be too small for your preference.
oakenParticipantKryptopterus perhaps.
oakenParticipantThanks for your answers.
Byron, I’m not too concerned about water evaparation as the air inside modern apartments is usually too dry anyway. As for fish that need warm air, I’m not planning to keep any such species or species that would suffer from temperature fluctuation (temperature fluctuation is not really a problem for me either, but anyway). With the fish mentioned the addition of cover would probably make them suffer temperature wise more than anything else.
As far as dust goes, it’s an interesting point I haven’t thought much about but surely the filter should take care of this? I haven’t noticed any issues with this with other open tanks that I have that are without filtration as well.
The reason for wanting an open tank is I think that it adds another dimension to the tank, but of course choice of fish has to be adapted accordingly.
