robertParticipantHi
Is it some type of panaque?
robertParticipanthi torso
yes mate that is was i meant, they are only exported from columbia or peru, but originally caught in brazil.
rob
robertParticipantHi
I think the legal side of it Would depend on weather they were exported directly from brazil.
Which I very much doubt they were.
I think most hypancistrus zebras are exported from Columbia or Peru bypassing the Brazilian export ban.

Bit of a question mate,a local fish keeper is giving me 6 p.denisoni,no longer wants them.
What’s the best set up for them,I have a four foot tank spare at the moment.
It’s is running at 24’degrees,and has a eheim external filter running on it and sand for substrate.will this be ok for them? They are only about an inch in size.
Rob
robertParticipantHi
Yeah the growth rate is not what you would expect from channa argus,
So it may well be a maculata.but the descriptions should nail this I.d.
Col let me know what the ray counts turn up.
robertParticipantHi col
Well I’ve been looking at pics of argus and maculate and
It could be either,I’m going out on a limb here and I’m going with argus.
Will be interesting to see what other people think.
Rob

And thats bang on news about the eggs hatching!!!;)

robertParticipantCool, ive thought about using pond plants myself.
They also seem to be doing really well in your we tank.
Ive still got the last lot of the hornwort you sent me,its doing well in my fire and ice and redfin
tanks, but could do with more, especially now ive just got a box of sri lankan gachuas that have
a really nice red rim to their dorsal fin.once again nice find col, thanks mate.
Not sure if ive come across these before, ill have to wait for them to settle and show their true colours.
robertParticipantHi col
yeah i like the frogbit for the same reason, roots are cool when they grow and reach the substrate,im getting good results with water lettuce aswell(dont know latin name).
What other plants are you using in that tank?crypts?
Rob
robertParticipantHi
nice little set up col, real under water jungle, looks like it does really well with just the natural light.channa heaven;)
The big floating plants look like amazon frogbit?
robertParticipantHi

No he dosnt have what im looking for!
robertParticipantHi hachge
i think you dont understand what i mean,im not looking for pctures
of the sp fire and ice,im looking for pics of their natural habitat.
