You can edit any species profile, add a species, write a note about a fish you have kept or send a photograph. A moderator will review everything you send.

- Edit a profileFind the fish, then add what is missing, change what is there, rewrite a section, propose a new name or report a mistake. You send all of your changes to a profile together.
- Add a speciesStart a profile for a species that isn't in the catalogue. You enter its scientific name and a short summary first, then add whatever else you know.
- Write a noteWrite about a species you have kept, including the tank, its tankmates, feeding or breeding. It appears on the profile as a community note, with your name.
- Send a photographThe photograph has to be one you took yourself. You choose how it can be used.83 published profiles have no photograph.
Most common gaps
How it works
- Sign in with a confirmed email address.
- Make your changes and say where each one comes from. They are saved as you type.
- Send them together. A moderator accepts, sends back or declines each change.
- You get one email when they have finished, and your account shows where each change stands.
