Personal use

You may read, print or save any page for your own use.

Blogs, forums and newsletters

A hobbyist blog, forum post or club newsletter may use a few facts or a short passage from a page. You must credit Seriously Fish and link to the page the material came from.

Copying a whole profile, or copying from many pages, requires our permission first.

Commercial use

Using the species facts or text in a commercial product requires our written permission. This includes restating the facts in your own format, such as the pH, temperature or adult size of a species in a product or database.

A licence for the species data is available on request.

Photographs

No photograph on Seriously Fish may be reused, on any terms, with or without credit.

Most of the photographs were given for use on Seriously Fish specifically, and for most of them we have no way to contact the photographer. We cannot give permission on their behalf.

Where a photographer is credited on an image, that photographer is the only person who can give permission to reuse it. Ask them directly.

Asking for permission

Contact us on Discord to ask for permission or about a data licence. Tell us who you are, what you want to use and where it will appear.
