Variabilichromis

Variabilichromis moorii is a lamprologine cichlid endemic to the southern part of Lake Tanganyika, living in shallow water around rocky shorelines. All adults are dark, but depending on locality the fry may be dark, yellow or orange. The only known lamprologine that eats filamentous algae, it is often sold as Neolamprologus moorii and is relatively peaceful even when spawning.
