The yellow kribensis, Pelvicachromis humilis, is a cichlid from Sierra Leone, Liberia and Guinea, and the largest known species in its genus. Rare in the hobby, it is seen in several morphs including 'Guinea' and 'Liberia red', some of which may eventually be described as distinct species. It is more elongate than its relatives, with a comparatively long snout, and is aggressive towards conspecifics, so only a single pair should be kept unless the tank is very large.
