gland

cortisol
Steroid hormone released by the cortex (outer portion) of the adrenal gland as a response to stress.
endocrine
Of, relating to, or denoting glands that secrete hormones or other products directly into the blood: 'the endocrine system'.
epithelium
Refers to layers of cells that line hollow organs and glands or make up the outer surface of the body. Epithelial cells help to protect or enclose organs and most produce mucus or other secretions. They're arranged in single or multiple layers, depending on the organ and location.
milt
The seminal, sperm-containing fluid of a male fish; male reproductive glands when they contain sperm.
sting
Sharp, pointed, piercing organ normally formed from a modified spine and secreting venom from glands at its base when present in fishes; the act of stinging; the wound or pain caused by stinging.
