Wulaokun

Rhinogobius formosanus is a goby endemic to river systems of northern and northeastern Taiwan. Previously considered a subspecies of R. nagoyae, it has generally been accepted as distinct since 2008. Irregular, worm-like, reddish-brown lines on the cheek and opercle separate it from other Taiwanese Rhinogobius. Like many fishes from running water it needs spotless water and does best in a tank set up to simulate a flowing stream.
