A large, open-water predatory catfish from the Malay Peninsula, Sumatra and Borneo that reaches 100 cm TL in the wild. It eats only fish and needs a very large aquarium without tankmates small enough to swallow. Fish from the Mekong and Chao Phraya basins that were once identified as this species are B. truncatus.
