Isorineloricaria villarsiBlue Fin Thresher Pleco
(Lütken, 1874)
The blue fin thresher pleco, Isorineloricaria villarsi, is a suckermouth catfish from Venezuela, sometimes referred to as Hypostomus villarsi. A rare find in the hobby, it lives in flowing waters over sandy substrates scattered with rocks and stones, often around driftwood snags. It grows to at least 17.5 cm, needs slightly cool water of 21-23 °C and is surprisingly non-territorial towards other peaceful loricariids.
